How it Started:
On August 2, 1990, the Iraqi Republican Guard invaded Kuwait and took total control over that country. The reason they went into Kuwait to take it over was because Kuwait has oil for there main resource. This is one of the reasons Operation Desert Storm came into play. This angered the United States so they went into the middle east to get the Iraqi’s out of Kuwait.

US Involvement:
The US got involved because the Iraqi’s took over Kuwait for there oil supply. The US also got involved because the prices of oil were getting to low and that made too much oil get bought.
